Year 2

We have 21 children in our class. Our teacher is called Miss Finley and our Teaching Assistant is Mrs Hardwick.

We learn lots in our school – recently, for our topic work, we have been learning about the Great Fire of London. We really enjoyed learning about this topic because we have learnt lots of interesting facts about how the fire started and the differences between London now and in 1666.

We also have lots of fun in our Numeracy and Literacy lessons, Miss Finley likes to play lots of games with us so that we remember our times tables. In Literacy, we are beginning to look at stories from different cultures – we are finding these stories really exciting to read because they often involve animals that can speak!

We also learn Spanish with Paz and use the computers with Mrs Pimblett as well as doing P.E. with Mr Tyson who plays lots of exciting, energetic games with us!

As Christmas is near, we have recently been making our Christmas hats, cards and calendars and getting ready for our Christmas party!
