Year 6

Year 6 is a very important and exciting year with children being well prepared for Statutory Attainment Testing. Children are provided with an interesting curriculum which includes many opportunities to learn outside of the classroom environment – these include water-sports activities, visits to Museums (Maritime and the Pier Master’s House) and visits to the local parks (including helping Sefton’s Park Rangers to plant bulbs). We also visited Claremont Farm (an arable farm) where the children were shown how a different range of fruit and vegetables grow from seed.  They where also encouraged to sample all the fruit and vegetables which they thoroughly enjoyed.

Year 6 children are given additional responsibilities such as being a Play leader

The children’s achievements throughout their school life are celebrated during a final Year 6 leavers Mass.

The majority of our Year 6 pupils go on to Savio High School.
